Raven hands over affordable homes in Redhill
A new development of affordable homes – which will provide new properties for those of pensionable age and free up larger houses for young families – will be completed in May in the centre of Redhill.
Raven Housing Trust is providing a total of 34 one and two-bedroom apartments and houses in Ranmore Close which will be rented to residents who are looking to downsize.
“The development is for residents of pensionable age who are currently living in homes larger than they need,” explained Alison Bennett, Development Director of Raven, which manages around 7,000 homes in Surrey and Sussex from its head office in Redhill.
“By working with residents to support them to move to new, smaller, but well-designed homes with lower maintenance and running costs, we are hoping to free up their larger houses for families who are in desperate need of more space.”
The new properties in Ranmore Close are for rent at affordable levels and come fully carpeted, with a fitted kitchen and bathroom and allocated parking.
Alison added: “This is a very attractive development and we are expecting a good deal of interest from residents who want to move to a brand new, well designed home.
“We can offer Raven residents who are transferring to the new development a range of assistance, including help with moving, clearance of bulk items from their old home and half a day of a handy man services to hang curtains etc.
“The construction work on the homes is due to be complete in May and we already have a number of people waiting to move in.”
