Here’s our roundup of local activities to keep the kids busy this May half term
Monday 29th May – Fairy tale treasure hunt at Gatton
1-4pm
£6 per adult in advance / £7 on the day, £3 per child
Join characters from well-known fairy tales and follow their clues in a treasure hunt around the beautiful grounds at Gatton Park.
Monday 29th and Tuesday 30th May – The Brick People at Denbies
10am – 3:30pm
£3.75 per adult, £3.75 per child, under 6s go free
The Brick People are back at Denbies for Lego loving little (and big) ones! Have a look at some incredible Lego displays and there’s also Lego and Duplo play areas to get creative.
Tuesday 30th May – Lego club at Horley Library
2:30-3:30pm
£1 per child, no need to book
Wednesday 31st May – Spring Day at Langley Vale Wood
10am – 3pm
Free event but you need to pay for parking
A fun day of activities in the woods. From nature and heritage walks to craft and sensory activities, there’s something for everyone.
Wednesday 31st May – Board games at Horley Library
2-4pm
Free, no need to book
Suitable for ages 5 and over.
Thursday 1st June – Swashbuckling storytime and craft at Crawley Library
2:30-3:30pm
Free event for children aged 4-7 years
A special story time and craft adventure to encourage young imaginations!
Sunday 4th June – Summer at Gatton: Picnic in the park
12-5pm
£6 per adult in advance / £7 on the day, children free
Celebrate the start of summer with a picnic at Gatton Park. There’ll be children’s activities to get involved with and the park will be fully open to explore. Refreshments will be available.
