Raven people power at community activities
Each year we have an all-staff day, during which we spend the morning in our communities taking part in activities, everything from painting and gardening to supporting local charities and activities at sheltered housing schemes. 295 members of the Raven team worked across 18 different projects in our communities – that’s a massive 885 hours of people power!
Clare Catolico, Head of Financial Control & Transactions Raven Housing Trust, said: “It was a pleasure to take part in our annual Face-to-Face Community Day. We were so happy to have been able to contribute in a very tangible way to so many Surrey-based organisations that rely on the generosity of local people and volunteers. The feedback from our colleagues and the people we helped has been really positive – we’re already looking forward to next year’s event!”
Abbie Curd, Project Manager Stripey Stork, added: “We are so grateful to the Raven team who helped transform our space from School Days to Santa Stork in a matter of hours! Everyone was so friendly and willing to help in different ways; from packing away clothes, moving boxes and even building shelves for storage.”
We’re already gearing up and looking forward to next year’s activities. If your community has a project that you would like us to come out and support next autumn – you can email your suggestions to raven@ravenht.org.uk.
