Hundreds of homes to be upgraded as we secure nearly £1.7m in government funding

We’re very pleased to announce that we’ve secured nearly £1.7 million in government funding to improve energy efficiency, helping hundreds of our homes in Reigate & Banstead benefit from warmer homes and lower energy bills.

The funding, part of the government’s Warm Homes: Social Housing Fund Wave 3, will allow us to improve 300 of our homes. Customers will see improvements such as better insulation, modern windows and doors, and the installation of solar panels with battery storage. These measures will make homes warmer, quieter and more affordable to heat.

Our success in previous rounds of the programme has already helped many customers lower their energy bills – saving some households over £1,000 a year – while also cutting carbon emissions. We’re committed to building on this progress, ensuring even more homes achieve a higher energy standard.

The programme will be delivered over the next three years, and we’ll be working closely with customers to minimise disruption and ensure they feel the full benefits of the improvements.

Anthony Day, Sustainability Manager at Raven Housing Trust, said: “Our priority is to ensure that residents feel the direct benefits of these improvements. Warmer homes, lower bills, and greater energy independence are what matter most. By combining this improvement work with scheduled maintenance, we aim to make the process as efficient and cost-effective as possible. This funding will allow us to continue delivering meaningful change for our customers while making progress towards our sustainability goals.”

The funding supports our long-term commitment to making homes more energy efficient and sustainable. As part of our goal to bring all homes up to at least EPC Band C by 2030, we’re investing significantly in these improvements to reduce carbon emissions and lower energy costs for residents.
