What repairs am I responsible for as a leaseholder?
In general terms you are responsible for the interior of your home, including plaster on the walls, glass in the windows and any pipes or cables that serve only your home. For more information see my rights as a leaseholder.
What repairs are Raven responsible with regards to my leasehold home?
We are responsible for structural and communal areas of blocks of flats. Every lease is different but usually this includes repairs to the roof, guttering, window frames, communal doors, and other shared or structural items. For more information see my rights as a leaseholder.
Am I allowed to make major changes to my home?
The lease states that there are certain things you need our permission for, such as making some changes to your home. If you are planning on carrying out work to your home, please raise a homeownership enquiry through the MyRaven customer portal.
Can I sublet my home as a leaseholder?
Most of our leasehold homes can be sublet but we will need an address and contact details from you. Please note, shared ownership homes and retirement scheme homes cannot be sublet.
How do I extend my lease?
Most leaseholders can legally extend their lease. You would need to pay our legal and surveyor’s costs as well as the cost of the lease extension.
If I want to sell my home, do I need to contact you?
If you are selling your home, our involvement is determined by the type of ownership. We have a whole page dedicated to this, please see selling my home for more information.
Roofing contract re-tender 2024
We’re currently running a tender process for a new roofing contractor to undertake all types of planned roofing works your home may need in the next few years. The works will cover all canopies and outbuildings, flat roofs, and pitched style roofs.
It is our intention to tender this contract via a Procurement Framework. Due to the value of the work, we’re required to give public notice of the work. As a result, under Schedule 2 Service Charges (Consultation Requirements) (England) Regulations 2003, you have a right to nominate a contractor from whom we should try and obtain an estimate for this agreement. Please contact us on homeownership@ravenht.org.uk if you wish to put a contractor forward for this work.
Below you will find the full technical specifications documents for the tender.
